On Wednesday, October 30th, we will be visiting Dixwell/Newhallville Senior Center to introduce senior citizens in New Haven to Rain of Hope’s newest program, “Seniors Matter.”
We are excited to create a program that focuses on teaching children the importance of writing and building relationships with local citizens.
Thank you Dixwell/Newhallville Senior Center for providing us the opportunity to meet your community!
We are excited to announce that Davis Street Arts & Academics School in New Haven will be hosting Rain of Hope’s pilot after school program at the end of October 2013.
Rain of Hope’s programs empower children and adults through age-appropriate community service projects. Rain of Hope is working with Southern Connecticut State University’s Elementary Education classes to build curriculum for the programs written by Rain of Hope. Mission driven programs, academically enriched, and FUN!
Rain of Hope’s pilot program is “Adopt-A-Cause: Seniors Matter”. The focus is to introduce elementary school students to the importance of caring about seniors in our community through a correspondence program, creating caring connections between students and seniors.
We are requesting donations to help support this program. Funds raised will support qualified staff, supplies and operating costs, as well as help us grow additional programs to be offered in more schools and communities. Please consider supporting our programs and making a donation. Donations can be made through Flipcause right on our website!
Every raindrop brings hope of new beginnings.

Rain of Hope believes that anyone, regardless of age, can make a difference. Together, as a community, we will succeed.
